In 1999, he came to Japan to study traditional Japanese performing arts. After falling in love with the world of Rakugo at first sight, he decided to pursue it. After becoming a disciple of Katsura Sanshi (now known as Bunshi) in September 2008, he took on the name “Sunshine” in 2009.
