Mulder and Scully investigate a series of ritualistic murders where the victims' organs have been harvested. Their investigation leads them to a mysterious cult led by a former TV star, Barbara Beaumont, and her partner. This cult, consumed with macabre rituals, believes that consuming human organs can reverse the aging process and grant them eternal youth. The episode also introduces a vigilante woman named Juliet, who is trying to save her sister from the cult and believes she is acting as God's avenging angel.
