  • When the System Fails, Parents Fight Back: Sarah’s Story of Finding No Limits Academy
    Dec 9 2025

In today’s episode, Laura sits down with Sarah, a military mom who uprooted her entire family so her daughter, Kate, could finally receive an education that honored her abilities instead of limiting them.

Kate has atypical Rett syndrome, is nonverbal, and previously had no access to communication tools. In public school, therapy services were reduced, communication was limited, and classrooms were overwhelmed. Sarah even witnessed firsthand, as a substitute teacher, just how much students with the highest needs were unintentionally pushed aside.

When their family prepared for a military move, Sarah researched every option in the country and discovered No Limits Academy. What she found here changed everything.

In this powerful conversation, Sarah shares:

✨ What it’s like navigating public school as a parent of a nonverbal child

✨ Why communication access changed her daughter’s life

✨ How therapeutic education (our No Limits Method) creates real cognitive progress

✨ The emotional and practical toll on families who feel they have no other options

✨ Why schools must shift from “babysitting and survival” to true education

Laura breaks down the systemic barriers, the failures of the current special education model, and why meaningful change is long overdue — not just for Kate, but for every child with unique abilities.

If you’re a parent, teacher, therapist, or administrator… this episode will challenge what you think education should look like and it will give you hope.
