Good evening. Nebraska. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you might feel like you walked into a grayscale photograph. That thick overcast is stubborn today, holding temperatures right at 42 degrees this morning. We're actually gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight, but you wouldn't know it looking up. The only break in the gloom? That Full Moon lighting up the clouds tonight. In the next 24 hours. Here's the reality across the state. Western Nebraska is dealing with a biting start. It feels like 25 degrees out there around 6 A.M., even though the thermometer reads 30. Watch for patchy fog early in the Panhandle, then sunshine breaks out. You warm up nicely to 65 degrees by 4 P.M. Eastern Nebraska stays stuck in the gray. You hold at 38 degrees tonight with a brief shower chance around 10 P.M. Drizzle could sneak in after 5 A.M. Wednesday. Highs reach 54 degrees in the afternoon. Down in Southeast Nebraska, near Lincoln, patchy fog develops after 5 A.M. You hit 56 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Looking ahead, we've a wild ride coming. Thursday brings beautiful warmth near 70 degrees. But a storm system hits Thursday night. Rain and thunderstorms are likely. Friday brings more rain and possible storms, with highs again near 70. The weekend turns sharply colder. Saturday drops to 54 degrees. We bounce right back to the 60s and 70s for Sunday and Monday. If you're headed out early, keep that fog in mind. It can sneak up on you fast in the river valleys. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
