In this episode, we are lucky and honoured to introduce to you our second guest; former British Army Apache Helicopter Pilot and founder of V-Force Training, Chris Vosper.

In a face-to-face, long-form conversation, Chris talks about his experiences as a young man, passing Royal Marine Reserve training whilst studying full time in preparation for becoming an officer and military pilot.

He touches upon mindset, resilience and the many challenges he faced on the long journey to becoming an Apache Pilot with the British Army. His journey shadows the idea of living a no-excuse life, as you will find. Chris overcame numerous hurdles and setbacks to finally take up his seat in the cockpit of the Apache.

Having then served three operational tours with the Apache Force in Afghanistan and with new family priorities, Chris moved into the pilot seat of a Puma helicopter, flying with the Royal Air Force. He then talks about the difficulties he experienced during that transition period and, ultimately, the reasons for him leaving the military to start his own business.

    Oct 6 2020

Welcome to Episode 1 of the No Excuse Podcast - a long-form, face to face conversation with those that have decided to live a No Excuse Life.

During our first episode, I sit down with my good friend Tony Hayes.

Tony is a former Royal Marines Commando, a veteran member of UK Special Forces, namely the SBS ( Special Boat Service ) and now the founder and Managing Director of the innovative new suspension training system, SF1.

During our conversation, Tony talks about his early years and his family. He describes an incident in which a gang attack resulted in him being stabbed 9 times, subsequently dying on the operating table 3 times before starting the slow journey to recovery.

Having then been a business owner through to his mid-twenties, Tony then went onto join the Royal Marine Commandos before passing selection for the Special Boat Service.

During our conversation, Tony talks about basic training and some of his experiences in passing selection.

Tony explains how he then spent 7 years on a constant cycle of highly stressful and demanding operations serving UK interests abroad as a member of UK Special Forces before deciding to step away from the Military and embark upon a new journey, in establishing a new business which today he calls 'SF1'.
