  • Curating What You Love
    Jan 20 2026

What do you really want—and what do you truly love? In this thoughtful and Pastor Mark reflects on how our desires shape our lives and how God gently invites us to reorder what we love most.

This episode explores Jesus’ first recorded question to His disciples in John 1: “What do you want?” Far from being a surface-level question, it cuts to the core of human identity: we are shaped by our desires, and our desires flow from what we love.

Pastor Mark unpacks how our vision of “the good life” is often formed subconsciously by culture, comfort, and ambition—and how even good dreams can miss the deeper purpose we were created for.

Three key practices are highlighted for shaping our hearts toward God:

    • Who we spend time with — our loves are influenced by the people around us

    • What we focus our attention on — our minds shape our hearts

    • How well we know God — love grows through time and relationship

Rather than willpower or guilt, spiritual growth is framed as an increasing love for God and for others, lived out in real community. Ultimately, this episode invites listeners to intentionally curate their hearts, be captured by something greater than themselves, and rediscover a life of trust, peace, and deepening love for God.

  • Why Does The Church Exist?
    Jan 13 2026

Why does the church exist? Is it simply a place we go, a program we attend, or a service we consume? In this episode, we explore a deeper, biblical understanding of the church—one rooted not in function, but in identity.

Drawing from Ephesians 1 and 2, this message reveals that the church was not an afterthought or a response to a broken world. Before creation began, God chose a people in Christ, desiring a community with whom He could share His life and presence. The church is part of God’s eternal plan.

Through three powerful images, Scripture shows us who the church truly is: the Body of Christ, with Jesus as the head; the Temple of the Holy Spirit, where God now dwells among His people; and the Household of God, marked by relationship, belonging, and shared life. Together, these images shift our understanding of church from something we attend to something we are.

This episode challenges consumer-driven views of church and reminds us that worship is not a performance or a weekly obligation. When believers gather to pray, sing, hear God’s Word, take communion, and encourage one another, the Holy Spirit is actively building a living dwelling place for God.

More than programs or strategies, the church exists for relationship—union with Christ and communion with one another. As the gathered people of God, we are invited to participate fully in His eternal purpose, carrying that same worshipful identity into our everyday lives beyond Sunday morning.
