Good evening. Missouri. I'm Aaron Jolly. That damp chill you felt stepping outside today? It's the leading edge of an active pattern taking aim at the Show-Me State. We've already picked up 0.17 inches of rain. And there's more where that came from. In the next 24 hours. Here's the setup. A warm front is lifting north through Missouri right now. And it's creating a temperature divide. Western Missouri sits at 42 degrees this morning. Eastern Missouri is milder at 51 degrees. And down in Southwest Missouri, you're already at 56 degrees — that's springlike warmth pushing north. Wednesday night, storms continue statewide before gradually tapering Thursday morning. Looking ahead. Thursday offers a brief break before another system arrives Thursday night. Friday turns unusually warm — highs in the mid to upper 70s, nearly 41 degrees above normal for early March. But that warmth comes with a price. Severe thunderstorms are possible Friday evening, with damaging winds the main threat. Can't rule out a tornado or two. The weekend dries out with sunshine returning and highs in the 60s. By the way, we're gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Sunrise this morning was at 6:31.
