The Suskind family are all featured in the award winning documentary, Life Animated, a film directed by Award Winning Director Roger Ross Williams.
The film is a coming of age story about a young man ( Owen) who lost his ability to speak as a child and retreated into his own world populated by Disney characters. Eventually his family discovered a unique way to communicate with their son by immersing themselves in the world of classic Disney Films.The film is based on the book, “Life, Animated: A Story of Sidekicks, Heroes and Autism” written by Owen's father, Pulitzer Prize winner Ron Suskind and his wife Cornelia.
