The UFC comes off an overachieving card that I still maintain won't mean much in a year but was fun, was violent and for some that's all that is needed. From the UFC, I'd still like more.

And we head to a Number Event (Need a better new name for PPVs) that feels a little flat. Maybe it's the vacant title at the top, maybe it's that it's a lot of 205 and 265 fights are always a troubling point or maybe it's just the promotion that causes the flatness and the loss of Van/Taira. Whatever it is let's crack on.

UFC Seattle was pretty good with a landmark win for Joe Pyfer (although I'm not sure if it means much given the status of Adesanya), Alexa Grasso with an amazing finish, Michael Chiesa heads into retirement with a W and we got some bloody action lower on the card. Like I said pretty damn good.

And hopefully UFC Vegas 115 can over perform as well because on paper...not a great card. Lot of questionable UFC fighters in some cases fighting other questionable fighters. Doesn't mean the action won't be good but with the exception 2 maybe 3 fights these do feel like fights you could see on a regional card without too much issue.

The UFC heads up to Hume country (Hardcores will get the reference) and the city of Seattle with a former Champion in the headlining spot against a fighter I don't quite know I have a classification for. And a former champion in the co-main.

The main card is a bit of a dud on paper (despite 2 former champions, so the name value is top notch just not necessarily the matchups), maybe it will be one of those overdelivering lineups and it's accompanied by a pretty solid undercard.

It's a rare occasion where I get to go I was just right about the card. 13-0. Didn't nail every fight dynamic because Mario Pinto didn't destroy Felipe Franco and Trocoli got the scorecards. But otherwise bang on stuff.

Movsar Evloev won another fight, controversially but really feels like if he just wrestled Murphy early the controversy would just not be a thing. The UFC will probably find a way not to give him a title shot though.

MVP had a very MVP fight that.........I saw coming and apparently people were surprised this wasn't very good........more than a little confused at the reaction.

Just a quick note this was recorded before Luanna Carolina blew weight by a damn weight class.

UFC Vegas 114 over delivered nicely. Does that mean it was a good job of match making? I would assert no. Sometimes a badly match just is good (looking at you Anders vs Tavares).

Next up we head to London for a Contender Fight at 145, an odd co-main event really just because there are fights on this card that fit the label more, one of the UFCs few Heavyweight Prospects and the return of Michael "Venom" Page.
