Good morning. Maryland. I'm Aaron Jolly. That little dusting of snow we saw yesterday? Already turning into a distant memory. Temperatures climbed overnight, turning that dusting into slush. And now we're sitting at a damp 41 degrees under stubborn gray skies. In the next 24 hours., A weather front is meandering across the state today, acting like a divider line for your afternoon. Down in the Baltimore Metro area, you'll climb to 51 degrees with off-and-on showers. Central Maryland stays a bit cooler, topping out near 48. Head west toward the mountains and the rain settles in — expect a 70 percent chance of persistent precipitation there, with highs holding near 48. Tonight, the rain really gets going. Showers become likely statewide after 8 P.M., with fog developing everywhere. Lows only drop to the mid-40s — remarkably mild for early March. Thursday keeps the faucet running. Expect more showers, maybe even a few rumbles of thunder, as highs push into the upper 50s to low 60s. Western Maryland could hit 62 degrees. But here's the real headline. A dramatic warm-up arrives this weekend. Saturday soars to near 74 degrees in Baltimore. 77 out west. That's nearly 36 degrees above normal for early March.
