After the runaway success of The Road Warrior, Warner Brothers gave George Miller $10 Million to make his third installment, and the rest is history. This minute covers the first half of the opening credits, backed by Tina Turner’s “One of the Living”.

      High above the Moon Plain outside Coober Pedy, Australia, our perspective sways in a slow descent towards a lone wagon pulled by a team of camels. Suddenly the angle shifts and the tire of an airplane strikes the camel driver, knocking him to the ground and leaving his cart defenseless. The odd-looking aircraft starts its engine with a roar as the pilot and his son celebrate their devastating maneuver and move to make another pass on their target.
