What if the wilderness seasons in our lives aren’t signs that God has left us, but actually places where He does some of His deepest work? In this message, Sean reflects on the meaning of the number 40 in the Bible and looks at Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness in Matthew 4. Through Jesus’ time of testing, we see how the wilderness can become a place where faith is shaped, trust is deepened and we learn to depend on God. During Lent, we’re invited to slow down, fast and listen to discover that even in silence, hunger and waiting, God’s Word is enough. The wilderness may feel empty, but it’s often where faith quietly grows and trust in God takes root.
