L-Air Uncut Ep.161 | Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογραφικές Μέρες Κύπρος 2025 (18+) - 4–12/04/2025

Tο κορυφαίο πολιτιστικό γεγονός στον τομέα του κινηματογράφου στην Κύπρο έρχεται για 23η χρονιά σε Λεμεσό και Λευκωσία, σε καλλιτεχνική διεύθυνση Αργυρώς Νικολάου και Μάριου Λιζίδη.

Με έντονο διεθνή χαρακτήρα, προτείνει και φέτος πρεμιέρες πολυβραβευμένων ταινιών (Viewfinder), διεθνές (Glocal Images) και κυπριακό διαγωνιστικό, εκπαιδευτικά εργαστήρια, πρόγραμμα για παιδιά και νεαρά άτομα, καθώς και για επαγγελματίες του κινηματογράφου.

Στο πλαίσιο του Φεστιβάλ πραγματοποιούνται το 6ο Dot on the Map Industry Days, μια πλατφόρμα συμπαραγωγής, επιμόρφωσης και δικτύωσης που ενισχύει τις συνεργασίες μεταξύ παραγωγών, σκηνοθετών και σεναριογράφων από την περιοχή της Μεσογείου, και επαγγελματιών του διεθνούς κινηματογραφικού χώρου. Επιπλέον, το 10ο Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογραφικές Μέρες για Παιδιά και Νεαρά Άτομα, σε καλλιτεχνική διεύθυνση Αθηνάς Ξενίδου, προτείνει για άλλη μια χρονιά εργαστήρια και προβολές για τους νεαρούς σινεφίλ.

L-Air Uncut Ep.159 | This is a real story where the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Limassol join forces to celebrate the 2025 Carnival.

"Life is a Carnival", a song written by the local Marija Savina - Miss4C, has created a cultural exchange between these two Carnival cities, uniting heritage and traditions.

Assisted by Vasily Papkovkiy, Marija transformed her song into an initiative to build a cultural bridge between Cyprus and Brazil. She traveled to Rio de Janeiro, accompanied by the Limassol Municipality and the Limassol Today team, to meet the King and Queen of the 2025 Carnival. They gained exclusive backstage access to the grand parade and later returned to Cyprus, where the Limassol Municipality supported the hosting of the King and Queen of Rio Carnival in Limassol.

Sara Mariza from Friends of the Earth Cyprus, explores the real impact of waste on our planet, and why the waste issue is not only an environmental issue but also a social justice issue, looking at the cost of it in Europe as well as in the Global South. Tackling waste is about more than recycling, it all starts with prevention and redesigning of materials considering their end-of-life of products. In this podcast, Esra shares insights on how waste is a symptom of a broken system and discusses ways to bring back reuse practices that were once common in our societies. There is a need for urgent systemic changes to tackle waste, capacity building between grassroots movements, as well as community-driven solutions.
