When we read Genesis alongside the rest of Scripture, we see that it is doing more than explaining where the world came from. It shows us God creating a world that is alive, welcoming, and able to sustain life. And He does this by speaking—through His Word, dabar in Hebrew, memra in Aramaic, and logos in Greek.

It's also about God making a place where relationship can happen. From the very beginning, God is inviting humanity to live close to Him and to enter into Sabbath rest—a life marked by peace, trust, and ongoing connection with the Creator.
