Good evening. Kentucky. I'm Aaron Jolly. Folks, that rain you heard tapping on your roof last night? That was just the warm up act. A warm front is parked right along the Ohio River. And it's acting like a revolving door for moisture. Tonight it slides back south. And drags the real show with it. In the next 24 hours. Right now we're sitting at a pleasant 61 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Enjoy this quiet window. It's closing fast. Showers push back into North Central Kentucky after 9 P.M. Central Kentucky picks up rain overnight. South Central and Eastern Kentucky stay drier a bit longer, but by Wednesday morning, everybody's in it. And Wednesday morning. That's when things get interesting. North Central Kentucky wakes up to thunderstorms peaking around 7 A.M., with highs reaching 70 degrees. Central Kentucky hits 69 with storms rolling through midday. Now head south toward Bowling Green. South Central climbs to a muggy 77 degrees under heavy clouds. Over in Eastern Kentucky, you're looking at 74 with scattered showers. Keep that umbrella within arm's reach Wednesday. Some storms could pack hail and gusty winds, especially north of the Mountain Parkway. The ground is already soaked, so standing water on roads during downpours is almost guaranteed. Slow down through those low spots. Looking ahead, the week reads like a weather novel with plot twists on every page. Thursday brings another round of storms near 70 degrees. Friday cranks the dial to near record warmth. We're talking upper 70s to low 80s. In March. Then Saturday's cold front crashes the party with widespread storms, some possibly severe. Sunday calms everything down. Upper 60s, dry skies. One more thing worth smiling about. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight every day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks out. Friday's temperatures might just beat it there. I'll be tracking those Wednesday storms all night. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
