    • Ep. 4 - Flowers (Grow in the Rain)
      Oct 9 2021

Flowers (Grow in the Rain) is an original song I wrote for a friend who was struggling; mentally, emotionally, and physically. Any difficult time can yield great challenges for us, but also great lessons. We receive an opportunity to cherish the beautiful things in life, even as they all seem to slowly fade away. When we are lost in despair, flowers can be a simple, gentle reminder of the grace we are given even when everything around us seems so dark.

In this episode, I will detail my process of writing this song and how it is still resonating in my life today.

Please enjoy, Flowers (Grow in the Rain)

What Have Ye Then   When the earth is thy house And the grave is thy bed Oh, what have ye then?   You’ve no thirst for to douse And no hunger for bread Oh, what have he then?   You know love’s for the quick A conjuring trick Oh, what have ye then?   For the night will grow Full dark and thick Oh, what have ye then?
