We begin where it all began...way back in 2008 with Iron Man. Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Shaun Toub and Leslie Bibb. The MCU was shot into the cinematic atmosphere on the back of the the red and gold as we're given an origin story and an action movie all in one.
Listen to Pat Whalen break down the beginnings of Marvel Studios and how they leveraged their stockpile of characters in order to secure a loan to make this movie. Mike Field dives into the lack of a villain in this movie, but rather villainous obstacles. But that didn't matter, because you loved it and the box office showed.
