Brett shares his path from San Jacinto Junior College, where he developed as a catcher and earned the opportunity to continue his career at Auburn University, to ultimately being drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays. Along the way, he discusses the lessons learned at each level, the grind behind the scenes, and what it takes to continue chasing excellence in the game.
Now, Brett is giving back to the sport as a coach with Team Marucci and as part of the staff at The Lion’s Den in Kingwood, Texas, helping develop the next generation of athletes.
This episode dives into junior college baseball, the recruiting process, professional baseball, and the mindset needed to keep pushing forward — no matter the path.
