The blood trail led through a hardwood stand, past a dry creek bed, and into a clearing where the snow had melted in a perfect circle. Inside that thawed ring, a man sat in his truck, killed by nothing anyone could name. The county sheriff called it exposure. The coroner's report mentioned a core body temperature of 113 degrees. This episode is about what Luna saw when she reached the window, what she heard on the radio when she sat in the driver's seat, and why she still drives twenty miles out of her way to avoid that stretch of County Road 17 after dark.
