And the ground is officially calling it quits. Central West Virginia is under a Flood Warning until 8:30 this morning. Creeks and streams are rising fast from Clarksburg down to Parkersburg. Turn around, don't drown — finding a different route is a lot better than ruining your day. In the next 24 hours. Up in the Northern Panhandle, you're dealing with a double whammy. Dense fog is cutting visibility to a quarter mile or less through 11 A.M. Take it slow on the commute this morning. In Here's wild part, it's mid-March, but it feels like late April. Central West Virginia hits 67 degrees today — a solid 46 degrees warmer than normal. Thunderstorms might rumble through this afternoon. Down south, you're looking at 65 with rain tapering off this evening. The Northern Panhandle stays the cool spot, socked in at 58 degrees. Thursday turns up the heat even more. We're talking 78 degrees in some spots. Friday could flirt with 82. That's remarkable for this time of year. Saturday brings our next big system with rain and storms likely before we cool down slightly next week. Spring is officially just 16 days away, but looking at this forecast, it seems someone forgot to tell the weather. Charge your phones before tonight.
