Good evening. Oregon. I'm Aaron Jolly. That gray ceiling overhead? it's not going anywhere. You stepped out this morning to 48 degrees under thick clouds. And the atmosphere has barely budged. A light rain has been falling overnight. And here's the thing. It's sticking around all day. In the next 24 hours. The Willamette Valley stays locked in the wet pattern. Rain peaks around 10 A.M. With an 80 percent chance. Highs crawl to 49 degrees. Tonight brings more rain and lows near 43. Don't expect a break tomorrow either. Friday looks just as soggy with a high near 51. Down in the Southern Willamette Valley. Eugene and surrounding areas see a similar story. Rain showers are likely through the day, with a high near 48. Lows tonight dip to around 39. The same wet theme continues Friday. Head east over the Cascades and it's a different world entirely. Central Oregon wakes up to partly cloudy skies and a high near 44 degrees. It's mostly sunny today. Just a slight chance of snow overnight, with lows dropping to 28. That's a 27 degrees temperature gap from the valley floor to the high desert. If you're traveling the passes, take note. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 A.M. For the Cascades above 4000 feet. Santiam and Willamette Passes could see another 3 to 6 inches of snow. Gusty winds to 35 miles an hour will make visibility tricky at times. Looking ahead, high pressure builds this weekend. Saturday brings a brief dry spell with highs in the upper 50s to near 61 degrees in the southern valley. But don't get too comfortable. Rain returns Sunday and continues into early next week. By Tuesday, cold air filters south. And there's even a chance for a rain-snow mix down to the valley floor. We'll keep watching that. One more thing. Tonight's full moon won't have much competition from clouds, especially east of the Cascades. Worth a glance if skies break. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
