Good morning. Florida. I'm Aaron Jolly. Florida's running a fever today. We're talking low to mid-80s statewide. That's 61 degrees to 61 degrees above normal for early March. Some inland spots could even flirt with records. In the next 24 hours. Up in North Florida. Jacksonville wakes up wrapped in dense fog. Visibility drops to a quarter mile or less around the St. Johns River Basin until about 9 A.M. Once that fog burns off, you're looking at mostly sunny skies and a high near 81 degrees. Tonight, patchy fog returns with a low around 63. Central Florida starts at 65 with patchy fog early. The fog lifts by mid-morning, then temperatures climb fast. High near 84 this afternoon with a chance of showers between 1 and 5 P.M. Tonight brings partly cloudy skies and a low around 66. Down in South Florida, it's a breezy 74 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Steady east winds around 15 miles an hour with gusts to 21. Slight chance of morning showers, then mostly sunny with a high near 79. Tonight stays mild at 74. Tampa Bay gets the most active weather today. Showers and thunderstorms likely after 1 P.M. — 60 percent chance. High near 87 degrees. If you've got outdoor plans, keep an eye on the sky this afternoon. Storms taper off by 9 P.M. With a low around 68. In One critical note for beachgoers, high risk of rip currents along the Atlantic coast from Volusia County south through Martin County. Stay out of the surf today.
