Good evening. Alabama. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you might think someone fast-forwarded the calendar. We're sitting at a gorgeous 73 degrees under full sun. That's a solid 59 degrees warmer than usual for early March. We're knocking on spring's door a little early this year. In the next 24 hours. Tonight stays remarkably mild. You'll not need the heavy jacket. Lows across northern and central Alabama only dip to around 60 degrees. Down along the coast. Mobile holds steady at 61. You'll see some patchy fog developing there around 3 A.M. Thursday brings more of this spring preview. Northern Alabama climbs to 81 degrees. Central sections hit 82. The coast tops out near 80. South winds pick up in the Tennessee Valley, gusting to 20 miles an hour. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. Changes arrive Friday. Showers and thunderstorms return by the afternoon. We're tracking a stormy weekend. Saturday night into Sunday looks particularly active with likely storms. Despite the rain, highs stay warm in the upper 70s to low 80s through early next week. Take a moment tonight and look up. The full moon is shining with those clear skies. It's a perfect sight. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight every single day now. The spring equinox is just two weeks away, but looking at today, it feels like it's already here. If you've outdoor plans. Friday morning is your best window before the rain moves in.
