Good evening. West Virginia. I'm Aaron Jolly. That steady rain overnight left the ground soaked and the creeks rising. We picked up about four-tenths of an inch in the last 24 hours. And we're not done yet. A Flood Warning is active until 8:30 this morning for central and northern counties. If you're around Clarksburg. Weston, or Spencer, watch for standing water on the roads. A Flood Watch continues through 1 P.M. For much of the rest of the state. In the next 24 hours. Dense fog has settled into those river valleys this morning. Visibility could drop to a quarter mile or less in spots. Take it slow on your commute. Central West Virginia sits at 54 degrees right now. Rain continues through the day with a high near 67 degrees. Patchy fog lingers through midday. Thunderstorms are possible by afternoon. Tonight stays mild at 57 degrees with more rain chances. The Northern Panhandle is cooler and wetter. Fog and rain persist with a high near 58 degrees. That rain continues tonight with a low around 55 degrees. Down in Southern West Virginia, rain arrives after 4 A.M. Highs reach 65 degrees with a brief break in the rain tonight. Lows dip to 52 degrees. Thursday brings the real headline. Temperatures surge. Central West Virginia could hit 78 degrees. That's more than 46 degrees above normal for early March. The Northern Panhandle reaches 70. Southern areas climb to 72. Rain continues. And thunderstorms become more likely. Friday may touch 80 degrees in spots. Saturday looks stormy with potential strong thunderstorms and highs near 81. A cold front sweeps through Saturday night, dropping us back to the upper 60s by Sunday. Spring equinox is just over two weeks away. Tonight's full moon will rise at sunset.
