Here's the breakdown for your Wednesday. Southeast Michigan hits 47 degrees this afternoon with plenty of sun. But keep an eye on the sky tonight. Clouds thicken up and rain moves in right after 10 P.M. You'll bottom out near 37 degrees. Thursday looks wet with rain likely and a high of 43 degrees. We could see a half inch to three quarters of an inch of rainfall, so keep the umbrella handy. West Michigan is the warm spot today. Grand Rapids tops out at 55 degrees with sunshine everywhere. Patchy fog develops late, settling in after 1 A.M. As lows dip to 39. Thursday brings rain by mid-morning with gusty east winds up to 22 miles an hour. Northern Michigan is seeing sunny skies and 54 degrees right now. Tonight brings a hard freeze. Lows drop to about 27 degrees with patchy fog toward dawn. Rain spreads statewide Thursday and Thursday night. Friday warms up significantly. We're talking upper 50s and low 60s. Then Friday night into Saturday, we could see thunderstorms. Some could be strong, especially in West Michigan. Saturday highs soar into the low to mid 60s. That's roughly 27 degrees above normal for early March. Sunday clears out with highs in the mid 50s. One quick note for tonight. The full moon rises under those thickening clouds. We're just two weeks from the spring equinox now, gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every single day. Get outside and enjoy the sun today. The rain returns tomorrow and sticks around for a while. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.
