Good evening. Ohio. I'm Aaron Jolly. That damp chill in the air? It's the opening act of a soggy pattern setting up shop right over us. We've already picked up nearly two-tenths of an inch of rain. And the ground is basically a sponge that can't hold another drop. In the next 24 hours. Here's the scene right now. Southwest Ohio is sitting at 59 degrees under a thick blanket of gray. Central Ohio checks in at 53. But slide up I-71 toward the Lake Erie shore. And the thermometer drops to 42 degrees. That's where patchy dense fog is rolling in off the icy water. Tonight, a stationary front draped across the state turns into a conveyor belt for heavy rain. Central and Southwest Ohio will see showers and thunderstorms overnight, with another one to two inches possible. That's on top of already soaked ground. A Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday afternoon for a large swath of central and southern Ohio. If you live near a creek or low-lying area, keep a close eye on the water levels. Thursday stays wet statewide. Northeast Ohio sees steady rain with highs near 54 degrees. Meanwhile. Central Ohio warms to 66 degrees. Down in Southwest Ohio, you're pushing toward 69 degrees with more rumbles of thunder. Then Friday gets wild. We could challenge records. Southwest Ohio soars to 78 degrees — that's roughly 39 degrees above normal for early March. Central Ohio hits 75 degrees. Even Northeast Ohio gets in on the warmth at 65 degrees. Saturday brings another round of storms as a cold front sweeps through. Behind it, reality returns with temperatures crashing into the 40s Saturday night. Sunday and Monday offer a brief reprieve — mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s before another system arrives midweek. Tonight's Full Moon rises at sunset, but with this overcast pattern, you probably won't see it. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
