Good afternoon. Utah. I'm Aaron Jolly. Winter dropped a third of an inch of snow on us overnight. And right now you're staring at 40 degrees and gray skies. But don't get too comfortable — the cold air's settling in. And snow showers are spinning back up this afternoon. In the next 24 hours. The mountains are getting absolutely dumped on. Another inch or two by evening up high. Down along the Wasatch Front, you're seeing mixed rain and snow through tonight, with the heaviest bursts around 11 P.M. Roads could turn slick fast under those heavier bands, so take it slow if you're out late. Southern Utah? You lucked out. St. George hits 61 degrees under sunny skies. Tonight drops to 37, but you stay bone dry. Now the mountains — that's where the action is. Snow keeps cranking — 34 degrees this afternoon, falling to 24 tonight. Feels like 16 by morning. Total accumulation could hit 1 to 3 inches overnight, with another inch possible Friday. In Here's big one, winter Storm Watch is up for the Central Mountains. Six to 14 inches possible through Friday afternoon. Mountain routes get dicey fast. Friday brings one more round of snow before things finally ease off. Saturday? Gorgeous. Sunny skies, 49 degrees along the Wasatch Front, 68 down south. Sunday warms even more — 58 in Salt Lake, 74 in St. George. Monday pushes into the mid-60s statewide. One more thing — we're gaining 2 minutes and 41 seconds of daylight today. Spring equinox is two weeks out. And tonight's full moon will light up those fresh snow-covered peaks. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
