  • Spared on Purpose (Part 2): Breaking Free from Survivor’s Guilt
    Feb 25 2026

In Part 2 of “Spared on Purpose,” we move from naming survivor’s guilt to dismantling it. Why do we feel guilty for surviving? And how does Scripture help us take every thought captive and reclaim purpose after loss?

Through biblical truth, lived experience, and practical reflection, this episode explores how to surrender the “why” to God, break free from condemnation, and step boldly into the purpose for which you were spared.

  • Why Am I Still Here? | Understanding Survivor’s Guilt (Part 1)
    Feb 25 2026

In this deeply personal episode of the Light of Life Podcast, Rutendo opens up about losing her brother during COVID and the quiet battle that followed survivor’s guilt.

Why do we sometimes feel guilty for being alive? Why does survival feel heavy instead of grateful? And how did we learn to associate death with wrongdoing and survival with superiority?

    In Part 1, we explore:

    • The cultural narratives we grew up with about death
    • The emotional reality of losing someone unexpectedly
    • Real-life stories of survivor’s guilt
    • What Scripture says about tragedy and moral superiority (Luke 13, Acts 12)

This episode does not rush to solutions, sits with the weight and names the feeling.

If you’ve ever whispered, “Why me?”, this conversation is for you.

Part 2 will dive into why survivor’s guilt happens psychologically and how to break free from it without dishonouring the people you loved.

  • Don't Take No For An Answer| Woman Wednesday
    Feb 25 2026

Last time we spoke about rejection, how it can protect you, refine you, and redirect you. But what happens when a “no” is not protection… it’s resistance? In this episode of Woman Wednesday, we balance the conversation.

In this episode, we explore the other side of rejection, the kind that requires discernment and tenacity. Through the story of the Syrophoenician woman (Matthew 15:21–28), who refused to walk away when Jesus initially resisted her request, and Esau’s persistence before Isaac (Genesis 27:34–38), we examine what it means to push past resistance with humility and faith. We also revisit Acts 12, where James was killed but Peter was spared, reminding us that timing and purpose differ from person to person.

“Don’t Take No for an Answer” is not about aggression or dominance. It’s about wisdom. It’s about knowing when to accept a closed door and when to contend for what God has placed in your spirit. As Joshua 1:9 reminds us, we are called to be strong and courageous. And as part of a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), we are not meant to sit on the sidelines of destiny.

    Sometimes humility reopens a door.
    Sometimes persistence breaks it down.
And sometimes discernment tells you to walk away.

Listen in as we unpack how to respond to rejection with strength, grace, and Kingdom confidence.
