In April Twenty Twenty-Three, an independent archival researcher downloaded a book from the CIA's own public database. It was partially redacted. Three chapters were missing. And the agency had kept a restricted copy of it for nearly Fifty years. The book was called The Adam and Eve Story. Its author was an electrical engineer named Chan Thomas who moved in military research circles during the Cold War and then vanished from public scientific discussion almost overnight. Tonight we follow the investigation that asks the question nobody in an official capacity has ever answered: the CIA didn't classify this because it was wrong. They classified it because parts of it matched data that was never supposed to leave the building.
