    • Did Christ O'er Sinners Weep
      Jun 17 2024

IN THIS EPISODE: "Did Christ O'er Sinners Weep" by Benjamin Beddome (1717-1795)

A poor parishioner of Mr. Beddome was entrusted with the care of the gentleman’s horse during the meeting. As he waited, he found out the reason that the Londoner had come calling. He became so agitated that he brought the animal to Mr. Beddome’s door and said to no one in particular in a loud voice, “Robbers of churches are the worst sort of robbers!”

    • How Bless'd Thy Creature Is, O God
      Jun 10 2024

IN THIS EPISODE: "How Bless'd Thy Creature Is, O God" by William Cowper (1731-1800)

There he knelt down and poured out his heart unto the Lord in prayer and praise. It pleased the Savior to hear him, and to grant him at once a renewed sense of his presence, deliverance from his fears, and a sweet assurance that, wherever his lot might be cast, the God of all consolation would still be with him.

Special thanks to Heath Walton for his work on setting this hymn to music and performing it.
