In Episode 7 we talk with Thrive MedSpa and Pure Beauty Lounge owner Stacey Spillum. She shares how to gracefully embrace going gray - if you’re ready - as well as techniques to extend your salon color, while incorporating your natural color and dimension. She is a big believer in doing it your way, instead of following the latest cut, color and medspa trends. That said, she offers practical advice on how to embrace your natural beauty in a way that works for this stage of life.

Through Stacey’s cancer journey, she has learned how to embrace birthdays, looking upon them as a gift and a blessing. One which not everyone is lucky enough to have. She helps reframe what a gift it is to experience this life, in all its beauty and fullness.

Stacey Spillum is Wife and Mother to 3 children, 14, 10, and 7. Her career began at 19 years old as a Cosmetologist eager and excited to help others feel their best. After two years and at the age of 21 she found herself as the manager, leader and educator for a growing salon that doubled in size after a few years. After 10 dedicated years, she found herself wanting more for not only more for her clients but her piers around her. She opened her own salon in 2012 with 6 employees and 13 years later has the honor of employing 40 women between PURE Hair + Beauty Lounge salon and THRIVE- Physicians Laser & Aesthetic Clinic MedSpa. Creating has always been her passion. From creating beauty looks to creating jobs and opportunities for women, she continues find ways to empower women. As a recent Breast Cancer Survivor at the age of 38, she now additionally advocates for women's health and finding their voice while navigating the complexities of aging gracefully. On top of all, she wishes the gift of life was celebrated more and encourages all.... you only get one of these, so do it your way!
