A former scientist and mission operator on several Mars missions including Curiosity, MRO and Perseverance, and is now at Planet Labs, Dr. Harrison is no stranger to when it comes to unlocking the secrets of the cosmos at a distance.

This past July, the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope took the first ever image of a young, Sun-like star accompanied by two giant exoplanets. Until now, astronomers had never directly observed more than one planet orbiting a Sun like star.
