  • Chattanooga Recap
    Jul 18 2023
Join Andrew and I as we recap our trip to Chattanooga! We had such a great time and enjoyed reliving it again as we argued over what order we went where and also getting caught up on whether or not we had pita bread or kettle chips..... 😆 We then move on to straight LIFE advice from Andrew. He tells us how his priorities have changed as he's gotten older and he justifies his Lulu purchases. (Please know that I just love giving him a hard time about this) 🤪💵 Also, we are taking any and all recommendations for our next trip- to Indianapolis in October. 🏃🏻‍♂️ LASTLY, Emmie is officially uninvited to any future recordings. I tried my best editing out her jingling collar and prancing around with noise reduction. I'm so sorry! Thank you for listening! I love getting back into this groove and connecting with all of you! -Mal

  • Episode 22-But why are we rinsing the quinoa?
    Jul 3 2023
What upppp? Basically, Kerri and I sat down and caught up with one another...and we recorded it! I gave Cash and Skip updates, Kerri gave some beach recommendations, and we even talked about future guests. We shared some "what are we reading and what are we watching," and what ended up being a lot about meal prep, the blackstone, and healthy recipes! I hope you enjoy this conversation. Thank you for being here :) -Mal

  • ICE with Khelsi Stone
    Mar 16 2023
Kerri and I had SO much fun chatting with Khelsi Stone from Harris County, Georgia. We took time to get to know Khelsi and highlight her latest adventure on the dating show, Farmer Wants a Wife. Khelsi loves love and describes herself as someone who has always been a hopeless romantic. Even BEFORE social media days (hard to remember, huh)?! she sent in a DVD to be on the cast of the Bachelor! The three of us really connected over our love for reality tv. We recapped some funny happenings from episode one and created a game for "anytime Farmer Hunter uses a crazy idiom, you ______.'' (Take a drink when_____) I'm excited for y'all to get to know her. It was a really neat experience talking to someone that's been on TV and we look forward to having her back! Tune in every Wednesday on FOX at 9/8 cst for new episodes of Farmer Wants a Wife. • Skippy's Birth Story
    Feb 21 2023
HEYYYYY! I'm so excited to be back...with Kerri! 🤩 I totally didn't realize we've not recorded together since JUNE. 😳 Time seriously just flies by so fast. Like, I had just found out I was pregnant in June and now here we are today with the birth story of my sweet Skippy. 💙 Follow the bouncing ball. Kerri claims I told the story in relatively sequential order, but with the "newborn fog" I’m still kind of in , I feel like I was somewhat all over the place. 🤪 We talk about how labor/delivery didn't go "as planned" and how hard the hospital stay was on Andrew. 😆 I give some advice to everyone that has a new mama in their life….What do we REALLY want from you postpartum? Keep in mind that we recorded this a little over two weeks ago. Things are ever-changing with a newborn, but I wanted to get his little birth story out there. ALSO, I share something vulnerable that I considered editing out, but that wouldn't be me...🤍 I hope y’all enjoy this episode and let me know what you wanna hear next!? I can’t make any promises with consistently recording, but I REALLY want to get back into the swing of things. -Mal

  • Episode 19- A Penny for my Thoughts
    Dec 10 2022
Welcome BACK to the Giddy Up podcast! 🤠 I’ve missed recording. I apologize for the background noise of me and the mic, I was recording from bed...haha. 🤪 Episode 19-starring: me, alone-I'm sorry. haha but it felt good just to get back in the headspace of recording! Let's be real, I could talk to a brick wall, so thank you for being my brick wall of sorts. 😘 Busy-ness...it's caught up with us all, hasn't it? In today's episode I talk a little bit about where I've been, our recent trip to Chattanooga and Gatlinburg, how spending money makes me anxious, and the differences I've noticed in this pregnancy vs my pregnancy with Cash. I end the episode reminding us all it's okay to be "BOTH AND." The holiday season can be a lot for different people for different reasons.  I will leave you with two little free nuggets of therapy advice. 1. there is power in the pause 2. make time to get yourself back to the place of grace-focus on what all you ARE doing. 🤍🤍🤍 Thank y'all for being here and supporting me! 🎄Mal

  • Episode SEVENTEEN-Lucy McEwen
    Sep 23 2022
On this week's episode, I finally got to sit down and record with my friend, Lucy McEwen! Lucy is a Columbia native, store owner, wife, and mother of four. For as long as I can remember, she's just made me feel "at home" in Columbia, and it's people like her that make me love this community so much. Lucy is WISE. We talk about the importance of being adaptable and the power in letting people help you. She gives a little insight on just how she manages it all, and puts a major emphasis on "it takes a village!" ALSO, she most recently got home from a bucket list trip with her husband, Dan to Africa, so you know I had approximately one million questions about that experience! So intriguing...I had no idea there were even such things as double decker planes! Imagine being in my living room, coffee in hand, just chatting....I'm starting to realize how this podcast is forcing me to carve out time to sit and talk to people, kid free, one on one...and it's truly life giving to me. 🤍 I loved this conversation and think so many of you will, too!   PS. Lucy advises against the name Buck. 🤪 I uncomfortably had her yes/no my baby name list! 😆 Rate and review. Share the episode.  -- Mal
