À propos de ce contenu audio

This is a podcast to raise awareness for the fate of hunting dogs in Spain, especially the Galgos. You'll hear interviews with animal welfarists and
people that stand up for the Galgos in several ways.
Although it's not my native language this podcast is in
English to make it more international. And it is my second podcast dedicated to the Galgo. My first podcast is called Jaspers Abenteuer. It is in German and there I talk about Jaspers journey into our life. It’s about how we became familiar with Galgos and the experiences we gain. Sciences sociales

      Nov 16 2022
In this episode I talked to Myriam Wälde-Behning on the translating process of her book Sighthound Stories. And because there was an overseas cooperation for editing the translation we invited the lecturer of this project Mary Jane O'Connor to join us. She told us a bit about her work in animal welfare in the US.

Yeray came up to my wishlist of interview partners just in the moment, I thought about a wishlist. He is the creator of the award winning documentary film Yo Galgo and an important voice for the Galgos. He was invited to speak on Greyhounds and Galgos to members of the European Parliament and has participated in research and redaction of the open letter on the welfare of hunting dogs in Spain, that was send from the European Parliament to the Spanish government in March 2021.

    • #03 Travis Patenaude - Stink-Eye Photography
      Dec 14 2021
In October 2021 I visited FBM in Seville, Spain. For 7 days my friends and I helped out as volunteers. Back home I realized that fantastic photographer of Galgos Travis Patenaude visited FBM, too, just 10 days after we left. No better chance to talk to Travis and share some experiences and talk about dogs we both have seen there. I’m a freetime photographer so of course we talked about photography, too. Travis told me about depression and how Galga Leena helped him to deal with that, his way into photography and what’s his approach in photographing Galgos.
