In this episode of From Oops! To oh Yeah!!, we are talking about a good proposal, and we will answer to what is a proposal? How to write it? We thus call attention to the need for researchers to make tangible contributions to – what, why, where and how?

You'll need to write a research proposal if you're submitting your own project plan as part of a PhD/Master application. A good PhD/Master proposal outlines the scope and significance of your topic and explains how you plan to research it.

It's helpful to think about the proposal like this: if the rest of your application explains your ability to do a PhD/Master, the proposal demonstrates the actual PhD/Master you plan to do. Of course, being able to effectively plan and explain a research project is one of the key qualifications for being able to complete one, which is why the proposal is such an important part of the PhD/Master application process.

Thankfully, the secret to writing a good research proposal isn't complicated. It's simply a case of understanding what the proposal is for, what it needs to do and how it needs to be put together.

A section at the end of a paper that contains information that is too detailed for the text of the paper and would "burden the reader," be "distracting," or be "inappropriate" (APA, 2019, p. 41-42). The content in the appendices should be "easily presented in print format" (APA, 2019, p. 41).
