Today I'm going to talk about a song titled I'm in a Different World written and produced by Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier, and Edward Holland Jr. "I'm in a Different World" is the final single that Holland–Dozier–Holland produced for the Four Tops.

Background vocals by: Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Lawrence Payton and Renaldo "Obie" Benson

Additional background vocals by: The Andantes (An American female session group for Motown).

Instrumentation by: The Funk Brothers

And of course, you know the record label: Motown.

The single was released in 1968. "I'm in a Different World" peaked at number 51 on the US pop chart and number 27 on the UK chart. No. 33 on the US Billboard Best selling R& B singles chart.

If you listen to the song I'm in a Different World and read the lyrics, you might understand that you're in a different world too. The lyrics say: When the love light shines upon my face
I'm in a different world …”
