    • Oops I Did It Again...
      Jan 19 2025

Welp, it’s another year. And as we reflect on 2024, we have to admit it—we did it again. The last bit of the year derailed us, didn’t it? It’s easy to fall off track with all the holiday indulgence and the craziness that comes with wrapping up a busy year. But hey, it’s a new year, which means a fresh start! And we’re not here to pretend like we’ve got it all figured out. We’re human, we make mistakes, and there’s no magic “one-size-fits-all” solution to everything. But this year, we’re committed to something that might just make a real difference: intermittent fasting.

In this episode, we’re talking all things intermittent fasting—what it is, how it works, and why it might be the missing piece to your weight loss (and overall wellness) puzzle. Spoiler: it’s not as intimidating as it sounds, and no, you won’t have to starve yourself. We’ll also share what we’re committing to in 2025, and why this year we’re putting accountability front and center.

We’re not just focusing on weight loss—whether it’s decluttering your space, drinking more water, or carving out time to exercise, pick something that will improve your mental health and well-being. Then, join us on this journey. We’ll keep it real with progress updates, struggles, and wins throughout the year, and hopefully, keep you motivated along the way.

    • Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
      Aug 4 2024

In this episode, we open up about their lifelong battles with imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is that nagging voice that makes you feel like a fraud, no matter how much you've accomplished. It’s the feeling that you’re not as competent as others think you are; sooner or later, they'll find out.

But the good news is that recognizing these feelings is the first step to overcoming them. Surrounding yourself with supportive people, celebrating your achievements, and embracing your fears can help you overcome self-doubt and truly acknowledge your worth.

We talk all about the times we feel imposter syndrome creeping in. From professional achievements to the trials of motherhood, we reveal the pervasive nature of self-doubt and offer hope to others facing similar struggles.

The key is being able to recognize it and lean in. It’s easier said than done, but doing things scared and surrounding yourself with a supportive circle of people can provide a rational perspective and bolster your confidence when imposter syndrome strikes.

    • Surviving Domestic Violence: Overcoming Challenges and Finding Strength
      Jul 11 2024

Trigger Warning: This podcast episode contains discussions of sensitive topics, including cancer, domestic violence, emotional abuse, marital rape, and trauma. Listener discretion is advised, as these discussions may evoke strong emotional responses or discomfort for individuals who have experienced similar situations.

Welcome to our first guest episode! Today, we have the incredible Orsika Julia joining us. She's not only a survivor of domestic violence but also a speaker, author, certified Canfield Trainer, and currently conquering breast cancer. Her journey is nothing short of inspiring and sets the stage for us to dive deep into the different types of abuse that often come with intimate partner violence, like emotional and financial manipulation.

We also take a step back to look at the bigger picture. We talk about how stigma and victim-blaming can prevent survivors from getting the help they need. Clearly, as a society, we need more education and advocacy to empower survivors to speak out and seek justice. The more we talk about these issues, the more awareness we can raise.

We don't shy away from the tough stuff either. We discuss the challenges survivors face in rebuilding their self-esteem and reclaiming their sense of self-worth after abuse. Trusting your instincts is key here – just like with cancer, early detection is crucial. Prioritizing self-love and self-care is fundamental in detecting and addressing domestic violence early.

Lastly, we share some practical ways you can support someone going through domestic violence. We hope to foster a community where we can all support and love each other unconditionally, without judgment or reservation. Together, let's create a space where survivors feel empowered and heard.
