Every year we go to Mozambique, Africa to visit Celia and the wonderful community of Gumbane. This year we decided to capture the stories and experiences while on the ground during a debrief session. We hope you enjoy this episdoe of the Far-flung tin can Podcast.

Celia Mendez is one of our missionaries. She serves in Gumbane village and has lived there for 13 years. Through much prayer and fasting, the community of Gumbane has become a beacon of light in Mozambique.

Pastors David and Tina Matthews are easily some of our favorite people. They are an absolute blessing to our lives and the lives of those around them. They have six children, all whom livein Alaska, and they are long term missonary pastors to one of the most remote places in our continenet and perhaps one of the coldest places on our planet. In todays episode you will have the chance to hear about their story and the "ups" and "downs" of following God's will.
