As of recording, one side has caved to the other in the first vote to reopen the government. There is a possibility that with enough hand-holding, they could change their vote 😒

Anyway, this episode is a simulcast of our TikTok Live and podcast recording, hosted a couple days after the tsunami of Election Day 2025. Here, Joi goes over the returns of Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, California, Ohio, Mississippi and Georgia.

At the time of recording, SNAP benefits were hanging in the balance. As of November 3rd, millions of Americans are still waiting for benefits to be dispersed.

It's Election Day.

All across the nation, mayoral races, gubernatorial contests, school board seats, state Supreme Court positions, House of Delegates chambers and Attorney General offices are being decided. The people who control funding for programs like SNAP, who determine whether your community gets resources or gets forgotten, are on the ballot right now.

In this episode, we break down the races in our hometowns, reflect on the year since the last election, and share what you need to know as you head to the polls.

Vote because they're counting on you sitting out.

Vote because people fought and died for you to have this right.
