  • Lift Your Eyes: Psalms 15-26
    Jun 25 2026

This week, we're slowing down a bit.

Instead of rushing through the Psalms looking for the big lesson, we're taking an intentional walk through them together. Lingering a little longer, noticing a little more, and paying attention to where David lifts his eyes when life feels uncertain.

From Psalm 15 to Psalm 26, a beautiful pattern can be seen emerging as David, again and again, redirects his attention. From fear to truth, from uncertainty to God's character, from lament to trust. From himself to the Lord.

    Key Scriptures:

    • Psalm 15:1-2
    • Psalm 16:2, 5, 8
    • Psalm 18:2, 16
    • Psalm 19:7-8, 14
    • Psalm 20:7
    • Psalm 23:1-3
    • Psalm 24:1
    • Psalm 25:4-5
    • Psalm 26:2-3

  • Woven: A Mid-Year Reflection
    Jun 19 2026

We're halfway through 2026 and I wanted to pause and take a look back over the past 6 months.

At the beginning of this year, I chose a word of the year: Woven.

I didn't know exactly what God would do with that word but I knew it was important because I had grown weary of feeling fragmented; different versions of myself showing up in different spaces.

Six months later, I can see what I couldn't have seen in January: God has been weaving!

Through caregiving, uncertainty, and unexpected blessings and opportunities. Through difficult thoughts, growth, healing, and faithfulness.

In this special mid-year reflection episode, I'm sharing what God has been teaching me about taking my own thoughts captive, trusting Him in the unfinished seasons, and recognizing His hand even when the pattern isn't fully visible.

    Key Scriptures:

    Psalm 139:13-14, 2 Corinthians 10:5, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, Galatians 6:9, Joel 2:25

  • Talk to God Before You Talk to Yourself - Psalms 3-14
    Jun 18 2026

Have you ever noticed that some of the longest conversations you can have in a day are the ones happening inside your own head?

The replaying, worrying, second-guessing, and the what-ifs.

As we continue our summer "side quest" through the Psalms, we're looking at chapters 3-14 through the lens of taking every thought captive and discovering that David had a habit many of us need to adopt.

Before he spiraled, he prayed. Befire he reached his on conclusions, he talked to God.

Before he let fear write the story, he brought his thoughts into the presence of the One who already knew them.

    In this episode we explore:

    • Why thinking alone can be dangerous
    • What Psalm 13 teaches us about honesty with God
    • How to interrupt unhealthy thought patterns
    • Why prayer should come before panic
    • How trust can exist before circumstances ever change

Key Scriptures: Psalm 3:3, Psalm 13:1-2. Psalm 13:5

The goal is not to win an argument with yourself. The goal is to invite God into the conversation.

  • Rooted, Not Shaken - Lessons from The Psalms, Part 1
    Jun 6 2026

After a mid-season break, we're back! And we're starting a bit of a side quest for a few weeks as we view taking our thoughts captive through the lens of the Psalms.

In this episode, we begin with Psalms 1 & 2 and discover that the battle for our thoughts often starts much deeper than we may realize.

The Psalms remind us that every mind is rooted somewhere, every heart is meditating on something, and our stability is determined by what we are planted in.

When life feels loud, uncertain, and overwhelming - God invites us to become people who are rooted in His truth rather than shaken by every circumstance.

  • Criticism, Grace, and Your Thoughts
    Apr 7 2026

Criticism can linger longer than the moment itself. A comment, a tone, a reaction... and suddenly we're replaying the conversation. Over, and over, and over.

This episode is an encouragement for anyone who has replayed words, questioned themselves, or carried criticism longer than they meant to.

    2 Corinthians 10:5

  • Guarding Your Mind When Everything Feels Loud
    Mar 19 2026

Episode 10: Guarding Your Mind When Everything Feels Loud

When everything feels loud: your thoughts, your responsibilities, the constant noise of daily life ... peace can feel out of reach.

But Scripture tells a different story.

In this episode, we’re talking about what it actually looks like to guard your mind in the middle of the noise. Not by escaping your circumstances, but by anchoring your thoughts in truth.

    We’ll walk through:

    • Why peace doesn’t come from quieter circumstances
    • How to recognize what you’re carrying that was never yours
    • What it means to take thoughts captive in real time
    • And how God’s Word becomes your filter when everything feels overwhelming

This isn’t about having perfect thoughts.

It’s about learning how to recognize, release, and realign.

    Key Scriptures (NASB):

    • Romans 8:28
    • Psalm 46:1–3
    • Matthew 11:28–30
    • 1 Peter 5:7
    • 2 Corinthians 10:5
    • Philippians 4:6–8
    • Isaiah 26:3
    • John 14:27
    • Colossians 3:15

When your thoughts get loud… the truth needs to be louder.

  • Condemnation vs Conviction & Knowing the Difference
    Mar 12 2026

Every Thought Captive - Episode 9

There is a voice that speaks inside every one of us.

Sometimes it reminds us of things we wish we had done differently. Sometimes it replays past mistakes. And sometimes it quietly convinces us that we are somehow always falling short.

But Scripture makes an important distinction between condemnation and conviction, and the difference matters.

In this episode of Every Thought Captive, we explore what the Bible says about accusation, forgiveness, and how to recognize the difference between the voice that condemns and the Spirit who brings conviction.

Rooted in passages like Romans 8:1, John 16:8, Psalm 103:12, 1 John 1:9, and 2 Corinthians 10:5, this conversation walks through how believers can respond when accusing thoughts try to take up residence in the mind.

Condemnation says the verdict is final.

But the gospel tells a different story.

If you’ve ever carried guilt longer than you should have, or wondered whether the voice in your thoughts truly reflects the heart of God, this episode offers clarity, truth, and the reminder that grace has already spoken.
