Ah, Thanksgiving. What's for dinner at your place? Good question.
There was an almost "eerie" silence around the table as everyone sat down for Thanksgiving dinner. Miz. Fern Musgrave, widow of the Colonel and owner of the Triple Cross Ranch, has invited all the hands to join her in the ranch house for dinner. William Travis James, known as Cowboy Bill, Dusty Trails, Slim, Red and Sleepy Kid The Wrangler are cleaned and polished for this special occasion. The boys had looked forward to this special invitation and talked about it for days. There was lots of talk about what they hoped the cook, "California," would prepare to go along with the turkey they were looking forward to. And there was the reason for the silence… the turkey.
