Criss-crossing the country from California to New York over a 10-year span, Alcala was best known for his appearance as a contestant on The Dating Game Show in 1978, where he was chosen as the winning bachelor, all while in the midst of a murder spree that included at least 8 women. It was only after authorities discovered a storage unit containing thousands of photos of more than 100 unidentified young women did it become apparent that Rodney Alcala may have been responsible for more deaths than any other serial killer in U.S. history.
