Main Topic
Content PlanningIdeas
- List of ideas when first started the podcast
- As community grows you should see other topics emerge or people to interview
- Keep up with news in your niche which should also fuel ideas
- Try and come up if you can with mini - series because then you have a number of coherent podcasts

- What conferences are coming up in your niche ?

- Listen back and critic yourself when editing
- Try and actively think about your ums and so and anything else that is annoying you
Pause

Pace
- Be consistent and try to speak as you would do to a friend. Ensure you can be heard.

- Try to articulate your words
- Try to do the whole episode in one go
- If you can’t just do a segment
- If you get one sentence wrong. Pause and then repeat again you can edit it out
- Practice, practice, practice
- Record earlier than you think. Don’t stop recording until after you think you have finished
- Get your levels right. TOAST

- Always have separate tracks for each voice
- Add EQ and Gain if required
- Always add noise gate to any external source
- Much easier if you have an intro and outro that you have pre-recorded. Put on separate tracks
- Copy the previous episode
- If got pause much easier to edit out
- Leave a few natural ums
- You will learn each time. For example this week on my gin podcast had to record using telephone. Poor audio
