À propos de ce contenu audio
Tnight the Sleepy Journey Pod comes to rest above an ancient Roman sacred spring in the hour before dawn. Below, mineral water wells up from deep within the earth, rising at the temperature of warm bathwater into the cold pre-dawn air. Honey-coloured limestone surrounds the pool, holding two thousand years of steam-softened stone in patient stillness.
Three small sounds gather around the pod: the deep welling of the spring itself, the soft breath of steam against the walls, and the slow irregular drip of condensation falling back to the pool' surface from the vaulted ceiling above. The water you will hear has spent nearly ten thousand years sinking through ancient rock before finding its way back to the open air, gathering forty-three dissolved minerals along the journey. As pre-awn grey lifts toward morning, the limestone warms in colour from grey to amber to honey-old,and for one held moment the rising steam catches the first low light and turns briefly to copper.
Drift here for as long as the body needs to be held by warm water and still stone. If this episode brings you rest, longer extended versions,ad-free episodes, and the full white noise versions of every journey are waiting at patreon.om/leepyjourneypod. Thank you for travelling with the pod tonight.
Seep well.
