r small sounds gather around the pod:the deep welling of the spring itself,the soft breath of steam against the walls,and the slow irregular drip of condensation falling back to the pool' surface from the vaulted ceiling above.The water you will hear has spent nearly ten thousand years sinking through ancient rock before finding its way back to the open air, gathering forty-hree dissolved minerals along the journey. As pre-dawn grey lifts toward morning,the limestone warms in colour from grey to amber to honey-old, and for one held moment the rising steam catches the first low light and turns briefly to copper
