Description
Pulp heroes were never meant to last, yet a century later they still loom large in comics, movies, radio, and television. This week, Jay and Shua dig into the larger-than-life characters born in cheap magazines that shaped everything from superheroes to sci-fi epics.
From masked vigilantes to jungle lords and space adventurers, the guys celebrate the wild imagination, fast storytelling, and lasting legacy of pulp culture. It's bold, brash, and absolutely stuffed with Enjoy Stuff energy.

What we're Enjoying
Shua was pleasantly surprised by the latest Hugh Jackman film, Song Sung Blue. He plays a Neil Diamond imitator who falls in love and overcomes some really crappy things the world throws at him. Plus, it's got a great soundtrack. Jay is enjoying spending some time and helping his parents in California.
Sci-Fi Saturdays -
This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay spotlights Arrival (2016), diving into its thoughtful sci-fi storytelling, emotional depth, and unique take on communication and time. It's a modern science fiction film that proves you don't need nonstop action to leave a lasting impact. Read his article on RetroZap.com. And make sure to play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. Plus, you can tune in to SHIELD: Case Files where Jay and Shua talk about great stuff in the MCU.
Enjoy Pulp!
This week's episode is a celebration of pulp culture and the heroes who leapt off cheap paper and into pop culture history. Jay and Shua explore what pulp magazines were, why they existed, and how their fast-paced storytelling helped create icons that still resonate today.
Along the way, they bounce through masked crime fighters, jungle adventurers, space heroes, and sword-swinging legends, keeping things light, nostalgic, and full of enthusiasm. It's a reminder that even disposable entertainment can become timeless when imagination leads the way.
