FCA Area Director Dan Barnes and Coach Holmes discuss 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 and his journey with the Lord through FCA coach's ministry.

We talked through peeling back the layers on scripture and using Isaiah 43:7 as the scripture focus. We dug into Isaiah 43:7 and allowed the Holy Spirit to take us from being created, to being formed, to being made useful for His glory, to striving alongside one another as competitors in this game of life constantly looking for the next soul we can rescue from hell by leading them to the cross. Let's GO compete for Christ!!

This week we walk through Philippians 2:5-11. In this passage we see Jesus lay down the authority of His position in exchange for fulfilling a role. This episode is for the athlete who aspires to be a leader or captain wants to lead like Jesus.

2 Corinthians 3:18 speaks about the "unveiled faces" of the believer. We discuss this from the perspective of that process of being transformed from our glory to God's glory from justification to sanctification, to glorification.

We take a look at God revealing His glory to us through the creation account in Genesis 1:1 - 2:4, the special place we have in creation and how we are made to reflect God's glory in and out of competition, as an athlete, and as a coach. After learning about our special position and purpose in all of creation the question rises ..."Why wouldn't we want to reflect God's glory?"
