Let me start by saying that I never really had family meetings when growing up, which gives them that much more meaning. I’ve found that family meetings are necessary given all of the stimuli and distractions we face daily. So why are they so important? Mainly because of two things: they give everyone a chance to express themselves, but they also provide consistency and family solidarity.
This conversation will also explain the different kinds of meetings you can provide your children depending on the stage they are in and give you tips on how to make them happen!
