This week, I'm continuing our "Fall in Love with Short-Form Video" series, and I'm diving deep into something I know so many of you struggle with: how to create short-form video content when you're an expert who talks too much.

If you're used to podcasting, long-form content, or just explaining things in detail, condensing everything into 60-90 seconds can feel impossible. Trust me, I get it. But in this episode, I'm sharing the exact mindset shifts, frameworks, and strategies that helped me finally crack the code on short-form video.

What You'll Learn:

The Mindset Shift You Need

  • Why short-form isn't about teaching everything, it's about creating desire to know more
  • The difference between long-form (building depth) and short-form (being clear and simple)
  • Why repurposing podcast clips usually doesn't work (and what to do instead)

The Core Rule: Every Video Needs One Clear Goal Every video should deliver one of these three things:

  1. A breakthrough
    • They realize something they've been doing wrong
  2. A belief shift
    • A new perspective that replaces an old one
  3. A quick win
    • Something they can immediately try or feel progress with

Two Questions to Filter Every Video:

  • What do I want them to think differently after this video?
  • What do I want them to do differently after this video?

3 High-Performing Video Structures:

  1. The Shift Style
    • Address a common belief → Challenge it → New realization → New belief
  2. The Breakdown Style
    • Problem → Concept → 3 points → Outcome (don't overteach!)
  3. The Results Path
    • Desired result → Common mistake → Better approach → Action to take

When You Have a Big Framework to Share:

  • Don't try to teach the whole thing in one video
  • Ask: What's the ONE part that changed the game for me or my clients?
  • Sell the value of the framework, don't teach it all upfront
  • Save objections, how-tos, and deeper dives for separate videos
