This portion of subject yields yet, another controversy of interest. It has been institutionalized contrary to Scriptural belief that the tithes, being under the so-called Law of Moses, was done away with and that the New Covenant Christian are not required by instruction of the Scriptures to giving a tithe. Many Christians base their reason for not tithing on the New Testament emphasizing generous giving in comparison to tithing. This lesson iterates that the confirmatory bias of not wanting to tithe cannot be justified or compared to generous giving without the tithe against the command of the Most High.
